Crossing cultural borders through good food and dance

The Auburn Small Community Organisation Network (ASCON) is this weekend hosting a festival of food and cultural entertainment.

Dr Cen Amores, People of Australia Ambassador, and Michelle Baltazar, publisher of Australian Filipina, will be hosting the weekend celebration, which will feature traditional Philippine, Ethiopian and Bollywood performances.

Among those serving food on the day is Marx Canoy, author of newly published cookbook Marx Canoy's Food Feast: Traditional to World Class Philippine Cuisine.

The event will be held from 12pm-3pm at the Auburn Centre for Community, corner of Macquarie and Hutchison Road. The cost is $10 per three dishes.
